Jazz

I would describe London’s weather as a jazz song… There really is no constancy to it. You just have to go along with it and appreciate the high’s and the low’s. In terms of projects, I haven’t done much in terms of my major project. I’ve done some street shooting, but that’s not a lot either. I’m not really sure how i keep myself busy. i guess it would be w/ a beer in one hand and a camera in the next. I see no pointe in starting my project now anyways since tia will be arriving on Tuesday. she’ll be here for 2 weeks so i probably wont be doing a lot of work towards my major project. but it will be good cause we’ll be out all time which will help me w/ my street photography. it should be a fun 2 weeks. we’ll be heading to paris for a couple of days. after that, its pretty much about putting my nose down to the grindstone and start churning out some beautiful and telling images. haha. we’ll see about that. as they say, ‘when shit hits the fan, get a tent.’ well, baby, i got my tent all pitched up and ready to go!

I’ve been stuck in my cave of a studio all day doing post-production for the work I did at the Swiss Cottage school. I’m just so picky about each image that each one i like, i go into photoshop to work on it individually. i wish i had a robot!

I did a job at the Swiss Cottage school on Saturday. It is a dance school for kids that are handicapped. The kids were adorable and they had such great energy. Working with them made me really miss my kids i taught back at home. i had a great time and the school had a very warm environment of staff and parents. Now, i’ve been busy all day doing the post-production on the images. i might do a quick multimedia piece for them as well. depends on how much time i have.

A3…A4…WHATEVER!!!! GIVE IT TO ME IN INCHES!!!

I HATE EUROPEANS CALLING THEIR PAPER SIZES IN A3,A4…ETC…ETC.!!!!!! Why cant u guys just tell me in inches?! i complain about all of this because i was busy printing 12×16 inch sized photos all day today (to enter into the National Portrait Gallery competition), thinking that that was what A3 size is comparable to. little did i know that it’s some 15mm or cm shorter than A3. and i learned all this from luiz 15 mins before the lab was going to close. so i was freaking out and trying to print everything before Crazy Wendy started screaming at us to get the hell out. Luckily, ed helped me out and we got it printed in time. 3 prints in 15 minutes baby! that’s what i call professionalism! tooting my own horn here. i would also like to add that luiz supplied me with the correct sized paper. thank goodness for Team MAPJD.
