i went to louisiana last weekend for work. the south is a whole world to its own. the architecture, the weather, the people. so different from what i am used to in california. it was a short trip, but it made my travel bug itch a hell of a lot more.

luckily, i will be going to paris at the end of this month. i have a parisian friend, elheme, whom is getting married. so we bartered. she bought my ticket to france and i will be shooting her wedding. i love being able to trade talent! it takes away the selfishness of money away. i’ve been working myself to the ground since the beginning of the year, so this is gonna be a great creative vacation for me.

work is still coming. i’ve made a point for myself that i will be transitioning out of assisting by the end of next year. that will give me time to build a solid savings so that i can really push my work and build my business. i dont want to be worrying about money as i make the jump over. i’m sure i’ll have plenty to worry about on top of money, but i want to make sure i’m prepared as much as i can be.
