Well, I went to the Heygate today and just started knocking on doors.  I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m not really scared there.  Maybe it’s just the stupid foreigner’s obliviousness.  I do feel a little uneasy though.  I think that’s due to the lack of people that seems to not hang out there.  Well, either way, i wasn’t really expecting much cooperation.  But, I was pleasantly surprised when people actually said yes to me!  I was able to jolt down some names and numbers and will be calling them to set something up soon.  I was only able to get through half of one tower block, but was able to squeeze out 5 phone numbers.  I want about 10 families so that’s probably another 7-10 families I need to get, just in case anyone falls through.  I expected to get just one number, but i was thrilled that people were being receptive.  I didn’t really get anyone that was totally rude about it either.  i was pretty much selling free portrait sessions.  Which is what my project is about, so i’m happy with that.  I’ll explain to them what i’m doing and shove the model release forms in their faces when i get in the door.  Haha.  i’m evil.
